About Koi CBD

Koi claims to have been setting quality standards for the past five years; read about it for yourself here. 

But is this claim really true? Given the brand is a member of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, Hemp Industries Association, and California Hemp Council…we’d say so. Forbes agrees, having called Koi’s products “some of the highest-quality CBD out there” in a review of the top 20 CBD oils from earlier this year. 

While the brand is enjoying current success, it hasn’t happened overnight—nor has it been a totally smooth ride. Koi CBD entered the industry at a time when things were far less certain than they are now. Regulatory challenges were common, and the retail-hemp-friendly federal farm bill we operate under today hadn’t even been passed yet.

Their CBD oils are flavored naturally and based in organic coconut oil; their balms contain dozens of essential oils and no synthetics, and most products are broad spectrum and THC-free courtesy of what Koi calls their PRIZM™ CO2 extraction technology. 

If we had to criticize Koi CBD, we’d point out that their products aren’t organic. Another thing? Though the brand’s product lineup is truly diverse, they don’t make finding any given product easy. Customers looking for a particular effect from CBD may have to take several minutes (or hours) to find the right product for themselves. 

All in all, we feel like Koi could benefit from more ailment-specific products. Though they do have sleep capsules infused with a little bit of melatonin and chamomile oil.
