Owners/CEO Background
CEO and Co-founder Mills Miller took a trip to Peru in the Summer of 2016 looking for an epiphany regarding his own wellbeing, but left with only a newly-contracted amoeba parasite. After declining multiple offers from U.S. and South American doctors to remove his colon, he turned to plant-based solutions like charcoal and pumpkin to kill the parasite, as well as cannabis oil to sooth the chronic inflammation in his gut. Finally, he found his epiphany—plant-based healing needed to be reintroduced to society. With the help of friend and business partner Harris Fazlani, MINERAL was born. The two initially dove into an 18-month exploration of growing, extracting, and formulating hemp products while maintaining the natural attributes of the plant. In December of 2017 they finally released their first sublingual tincture. Through their initial hemp exploration, MINERAL carefully selected two strains of hemp genetics with suitable cannabinoid and terpene profiles: Suver Haze and Cherry Wine. They source the genetically optimal seeds from Oregon and supply them to Waayb Organics in Longmont, Colorado, where the plants are organically sun-grown in up to two seasonal crops per year.
After the hemp biomass is collected, it’s sent to Waayb Organics’ GMP-certified facility for processing.
