Quim is on a mission to address the vaginal-taboo and lack of education surrounding female sexual health. Co-founders Cyo Nystrom and Rachel Washtien know the horrific cycle all too well. Glycerin-based lube is full of sugars that feed bad bacteria, which leads to infections like UTIs. The antibiotics you then have to take to clear that up washes away all the good bacteria with the bad, leaving vaginas susceptible to even more issues like yeast infections. Yeast treatments usually help, but they leave you feeling dry, which brings you full circle to needing that glycerine-based lubricant again.
Instead, Nystrom and Washtien set out to make something different, and that’s how Quim was born. They designed CBD and THC-infused formulas to be safe for vaginas, provide intimate lubrication, but most importantly to offer a proactive solution to daily vaginal self-care with impressive results. The Strategist even singled it out as one of the best products at the 2019’s Indie Beauty Expo. This luxury personal care line is making waves, even when up against tough competition.

No. Quim uses a full-spectrum hemp formula for their CBD line, which may contain up to 0.3 percent THC per legal guidelines. This typically isn’t enough THC to cause psychoactive effects.

Product Line
Quim’s product line is small, but it’s very well thought out. They have four formulas, two of which are THC-based and are only available in certain California dispensaries or through several state-approved delivery programs. Fortunately, two products feature an equally beneficial CBD formulation that can be shipped to all 50 states.
The first formula, Smooth Operator Intimate Serum, is a hemp-infused serum filled with aloe, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, peony and passionflower extracts, as well as other plant-based ingredients. This formula is designed to increase blood flow and pelvic relaxation, decrease pain and inflammation, and provide lubrication for personal or coupled intimate play. The bottle has 100 mg of CBD, and dispenses three or four milligrams per suggested serving, which is four-to-six pumps.
The second hemp formula can be used as a lubricant as well, but is designed to be used as a proactive part of daily vaginal care. The Happy Clam formula features 50 mg of CBD, which dispenses up to two milligrams per three-to-five pumps. This formula, which also includes tea tree oil, violet, sweet almond oil, apricot oil, and more, is recommended to be used after baths, post-sex, during menstruation, or really anytime necessary. The unique formula is meant to provide relief from discomfort, moisturize, and overall keep your vagina in tip-top shape. The brand calls it “eye cream for you vagina,” and it really makes daily vaginal care just that easy!
Quim stands out to us in multiple ways, but overall we love the bold, unforgiving consciousness they breathe into their products. They don’t just offer a safe, gentle hemp formula to help maintain vaginal health and provide the lubrication you need during intimate play, but also help break stigmas by providing a shameless route to sexual and vaginal health for women everywhere.
